The purpose of the environmental site assessment is to evaluate the subsurface environment, where accessible, to determine if the past use of the property as a gasoline station or the past use of neighboring properties has impacted the subsurface soils and groundwater. The scope of service will involve using a hollow-stem auger drilling rig to complete the installation of 7 two-inch diameter groundwater monitoring wells feet below ground surface to facilitate the collection of groundwater samples. The wells will be constructed of gauge pvc with 10-slot well screen. Number 2 sand will be used around the screen with bentonite and grout to seal the well in place. During drilling operations soil samples will be collected, field screened and submitted for laboratory analysis.

Ecs will conduct a membrane interface probe mip investigation in the vicinity of the former gasoline station. The investigation will include the completion of soil borings. The borings will be 2 inch in diameter, completed with direct push drilling technology i. E. Geoprobe and completed at a depth of feet below ground surface. The borings will be used to collect environmental data. The borings will be abandoned the same day as drilled using a tremmie pipe and a bentonite powder slurry. See the attached work plan for additional details.

Perform three geotechnical borings, each extended to a depth of feet below the existing ground surface. Borings will be completed using hollow stem augers and be approximately 6-inch diameter. Borings will be performed utilizing an atv or truck mounted auger drill rig.

As directed by ddoe toxic substance division in a letter from mr. Richard jackson, dated february 21, 2014, ecs will install a total of four deep monitoring wells in areas where mip results indicated the potential presence of possible chlorinated solvents. The mip boring locations selected for deep monitoring well installation include m1, m2, m6, and m7. These wells are in addition to previously proposed wells in the area of the former usts. In addition to the four deep wells one additional deep well will be placed in the geothermal well. One shallow well will also be placed next to mip location m7 to monitor the upper aquifer conditions. In total this work plan covers the installation and sampling of six monitoring wells. The locations of the proposed monitoring wells are depicted on figure 1. The wells will be installed using a hollow-stem auger rig. The purpose of the monitoring well installations and sampling is to evaluate the subsurface environment, where accessible, to determine if the past use of the property or the past use of neighboring properties has impacted the subsurface soils and groundwater. The scope of service will involve the installation (using hsa) of nine two-inch groundwater monitoring wells, to facilitate the collection of groundwater samples in the vicinity of the former usts area. During drilling operations soil samples will be collected, field screened and submitted for laboratory analysis. The locations of the monitoring wells are depicted on figure 1 in relation to previous environmental borings advanced on the property.

The purpose of this work plan is to describe the method and procedures for the abandonment of nine of the monitoring wells located at the dunbar high school. The monitoring wells must be abandoned to allow the construction of the athletic track and field to continue. The monitoring wells will be abandoned by making an attempted to remove the 2-inch pvc from the ground. If the pvc cannot be removed, a tool will be inserted into the well to rip the pvc to ensure that the well casing and screen are filled with the grout material. After the pvc has either been removed or ripped, powdered bentonite slurry with a 60: mix ratio of 1 lbs bentanite powder 94lbs cement and 82 gallons of water will then be placed using a tremie pipe from the bottom of the well/boring to the surface. Any waste material generated will be disposed of appropriately
