The city is in process of eliminating the many duplicate street names created when i-2 expressway / cross town route was constructed. One proposal is to rename this portion of hazel mill rd to westwood pl. The current westwood pl name appears to end in a curve where through traffic pattern allows continuous movement and the street name appears to change to hazel mill rd at the mini storage area down the steep hill to what will soon be a new craven st and emma rd intersection. This portion of hazel mill rd would likely continue the westwood pl name.
