Notice to proceed replace deteriorated asphalt shingle roof on rear addition and over side entrance of house with gaf timberline high definition shingles color to match as close as possible to the existing slate on main roof. Install new pipe collars and new metal flashing around exhaust vent. Remove only deteriorated mortar on chimney using tools narrower than the joint and repoint with replacement mortar that matches historic mortar joints in color texture joint size profile and hardness. Remove deteriorated concrete chimney crown and replace to match. Remove and replace individual vermont bangor black slates that are deteriorated on the main roof with new vermont bangor black slates. Caulk roof ridge. All work to be completed as per plans in chap files. Note: the proposal to wrap three wood window surrounds in the rear of the house does not meet chap guidelines and cannot be approved. Approved as per chap atp: construct a new stone slab staircase in rear yard leading to garage replacing flagstone stairs that are largely gone. Staircase will include 16 stone slabs and will be located as per site plan. Scope will include minor grading to safely set the slabs into the hillside. All work to be completed as per plans in chap files. Authorization to proceed replacing existing broken stone slab steps approximately 16 new steps same size and location as per code
