Swm conceptual design for a temporary substation to be located at the property adjacent to the existing pepco substation located along harrison street, nw to be utilized while the existing substation is renovated - separate project. This design includes swm, esc, and site work to support the new foundations for 3 pre-fabricated control room buildings, 2 covered capacitor banks, and 3 open transformer bays with walls, foundations, and spill protection via containment.

Replace underground storage tanks. Sizes and quantities of the new tanks shall be as follos: a. 20,0 gallon diesel tank - 1 total b. 12,0 gallon gasoline tank - 1 total c. 12,0 gallon heating tank - 1 total d. 6,0 gallon engine oil tank - 1 total e. 2,5 gallon anti - freeze fluid tank - 1 total

Work includes excavating and installing two 8ft x 21ft manholes and about 227 linear ft of trench to install 138kv transmission lines inside pepcos harrison substation.

Two story masonry building

We will drill 7 borings to the depth of ft each for the purposes of geotechnical exploration and standard penetration testing. Borings will be 6 inches in diameter and advanced with a hollow stem auger. See the work plan for further detail.

Three new wooden platform decks with stairs adjacent to three control buildings. Deck elevation is 4 above grade. Deck area is ~4 sf total.

We will perform a total of 2 soil borings on the proposed site. The borings will be advanced to depths of feet below the existing site grades. The borings will be located within the bounds of private property. The borings will be drilled utilizing 3. 25-inch hollow-stem, continuous flight augers. The borings will be performed utilizing a truck-mounted drill rig and will generate an approximate 6-inch annulus. After drilling is complete, the borings will be backfilled in accordance with doee requirements with a bentonite slurry, which has a consistency of two pounds bentonite powder to one gallon water.

A temporary power sub-station on lots 810, 811 & 812 in square 1657 to be removed in 3 years on 3-1-18 . Pepco is installing harrison temporary station no. 38 as a new distribution substation located at the corner of harrison st nw and wisconsin avenue nw in washington dc. Pepco is soliciting bids from qualified contractors to construct the new substation. The 34/13. 8kv substation will have three incoming 34kv lines which will be feeding three 22. 4 mva 34/13. 8 kv transformers. The substation will have three transformer bays and all three bays will be energized at the end of this project. The substation will also consist of three mobile switchgears with 9 cubicles, two 9mvar cap bank units and additional related substation equipment. The relay panels, station service and battery will be located within the mobile switchgear units

Requested work dates from 12/31/2015 to 01/30/2016. Ddot source construction permit pa115723-r1. Work includes vacuuming the run of cable for dry vacuum pipe certification purposes for manhole d @ sta. A197+29 and manhole e at sta. B0+00.

We will be drilling 15 test borings to depths of feet using the hollow stem auger method. The boring diameter is 7 5/8 inches. Borings are for foundation evaluation of substation equipment.
