We propose turning a parking space into a pop-up library. We will lay down rugs and furnish the space with a desk/table, 3-4 chairs, floor lamps for decoration, and bookshelves w/ our own books for browsing. We will use the bookshelves and potted plants as clear barriers between street traffic and library patrons. We would like to have water available, play music at moderate levels, and provide information about dc libraries and bookstores if we can get appropriate literature.
