We will perform a total of two (2) soil borings within the bounds of public space. One soil boring will be located within the public sidewalk along 6th street, ne the other located within the northbound parking lane on 5th street, ne. The borings will be advanced to a depth of feet below the existing site grades. The borings will be drilled utilizing 3. 25-inch hollow stem, continuous flight augers. The borings will be performed utilizing a truck-mounted drill rig and will generate an approximate 6-inch annulus. After geotechnical exploration is completed, the borings will be backfilled with bentonite slurry, which has a constitency of two pounds bentonite poweder to 1 gallon water.

We will perform eight (8) full depth pavement cores to be located within the bounds of public space along half street se. Specifically, four (4) pavement cores are to be located within the sidewalk along the west side of half st se between m street se and n street se and four (4) pavement cores will be located in the southbound lane of half street se between m street se and n street se. The pavement cores will be performed using coring equipment and generate a 6 inch diameter annulus. Upon completion, the cored pavement hole will be backfilled with gravel and the top several inches will be patched using cold-patch asphalt.

We will perform a total of three soil borings within public space. Two of the borings will be located in public space within the grass area along 48th street nw and one boring will be located within the alley located to the south of 43 48th street nw. The borings will be advanced to a depth of feet below the existing site grades. The borings will be drilled utilizing 3. 25-inch hollow stem, continuous flight augers. The borings will be preformed utilizing a truck-mounted drill rig and will generate an approximate 6-inch annulus. After drilling is complete the borings will be backfilled in accordance with doee requirements with a bentonite slurry, which has a consistency of two pounds bentonite powder to one gallon water.

Between 7th and 9th street adjacent to the sidewalk adjacent to the building located at 8 k street, nw, washington, dc. Please reference the attached site plan for exact boring locations. The borings will be performed with a single atv-mounted drill rig. The miss utility locator service will be contacted and used prior to work start. The boring test holes will be 6 inches in diameter to a depth of approximately 1 feet below the existing ground surface. The borings will be backfilled (with bentonite slurry) in accordance with ddoe requirements, and the asphalt parking lane will be patched to an equivalent thickness of asphalt. The work will not impact vehicular and pedestrian traffic on k street, nw. Total work duration is approximately two days.

One soil test boring shall be performed within the sidewalk adjacent to the existing building located at 9 7th street nw, washington, dc. Specifically, the one boring will be located on i street near the parking garage entrance to the existing building at 9 7th street nw (reference the attached site plan). The boring will be performed with a single atv-mounted drill rig. The miss utility locator service will be contacted and used prior to work start. The boring test hole will be 6 inches in diameter to a depth of approximately 1 feet below the existing ground surface. The boring will be backfilled (with bentonite slurry) in accordance with ddoe requirements. The pedestrian traffic will be re-routed in accordance with the traffic control plans provided with this permit. The work will not impact vehicular traffic on the adjacent streets.
