Boring b-1 to b-4 will be drilled to a maximum depth of feet below existing grade. The rest of the borings will be utilizing a truck or track-mounted drill rig. Hollow stem augers hsa approximately 3-1/4 inches in diameter will be advanced maximum depth of feet below existing grade. Ti is anticipated that boreholes approximately 8 inches in diameter will result from the augering operations. Standard penetration test spt sample will be obtained using a 2 inch diameter sample spoon driven with a 140-pound hammer in accordance with astm d 1586. Sample will be taken at regular intervals in the upper ten feet at five-foot intervals or at discerned changes in soil starts. Atc will utilize a direct-push geoprobe rig to advance 2 soil borings b-5 and b-6 inside the existing building as indicated in figure 1.
