SCORE 59 Construct a completely new floor plan inside the existing exterior walls. The existing exterior walls, including the doors, windows and truss roof, will remain structurally untouched. A second 2 x 4 exterior wall will be constructed 1. 5 inches from the inside of the existing 2 x 4 exterior wall to increase the insulation depth, reduce the thermal bridging of the framing and eliminate the need to drill holes in the studs for the conduit runs. Install a completely new electrical system which will include moving the location of the meter socket and load center. All wiring will be in metal conduit. The plumbing system, from the stubs in the crawl space, will be totally replaced. The heating cooling system will also be replaced. I will use both hydronic and forced air in a hybrid system that uses the crawl space as a plenum. The cooling equipment will be added at a later date.
