Contacted me this am about an electrical problem at the hot spot located at 79 asheland ave. The cause of the problem has not been determined, it appears that an arc developed between some armored cable and the ceiling grid causing some fibrous ductwork to burn through and smolder. Duke energy disconnected the power to the building. Frankie from emory electric was on site to determine the cause of the arc. There are numerous code violations with the electrical system that need to be addressed be the power can be restored. Emory is going to make the emergency repairs and corrections this weekend and will apply for a permit online today or come in to the pac @ 7: monday morning. There is a permit required to repair or replace the ductwork and replace the suspended ceiling. Jordan oil is the owner of the store.
