Injection of dcdoe-approved chemical oxidation materials into groundwater monitoring wells as part of a petroleum-impacted groundwater remediation project at the subject site along the north side and right-of-way/public space of tuckerman street, nw (proximate to the subject site). Injection process will start with extraction of groundwater from the same wells using 2"-diameter vacuum hose, followed by injection of chemicals using 1"-diameter chemical hose. The hoses will be laid across grade and sidewalk and under temporary walkovers to allow pedestrian traffic, along with precautionary signage warning of work area. All work to be performed during normal business hours. No excavation will be created - only temporary laying of hoses in public space extending to existing groundwater monitoring wells that were constructed in the same public space under previous permit(s). All trucks and equipment will be maintained on private property.

Proposed work consist on drilling 14 soil borings 3. 25 inches diameter by a depth of five feet and one vapor point will be advanced to five feet in depth and will not puncture the aquifer, which is located at approximately eleven feet in depth . The soil borings for soil sampling will puncture the equifer. Bentonite cement grout (60:40), grout: water ratio (30:70), as per site plan, work plans report, dc well construction/schematic application and documents.

Advance 28 soil borings in the roadway and sidewalk of georgia avenue, tuckerman street and piney branch road n. W as part of environmental assessment and remediation. 19 of 28 borings will be advanced to 19 ft depth via georobe hollow stem auger, 6" diameter, and will have 2" diameter pvc wells installed. 9 of 28 borings are for soil assessment only, geoprobe direct push, 2" diameter 25 ft depth
