Existing wood porch built on top of a concrete pad that sits between 18 and 29 inches above the ground. We will remove the wood porch, and leave the concrete pad beneath and use it to support a new wooden porch. It will consist of a stringer attached to the house and 2x8s attached to that stringer and extending out over the concrete pad, using it for vertical support. Decking on top of the framing and a 3 railing around the entire porch from the house to the edge of the stairway. The current deck size is approximately 14 6" square, and we plan on extending one corner of that approximately 4 max away from the house as can be seen on the plan. To support this, we will have a wood column with a concrete pier and framing that will attach to the rest of the deck framing relying on the existing concrete pad for support.
