SCORE 66 Dear members of the public space committee, i am writing in support of our request to maintain the fence that was on the property when we purchased our house. The fence is alongside the back corner of our property, which is on top of a retaining wall. The retaining wall keeps all the yards, including ours, from falling into the sidewalk, which borders a busy street. The retaining wall has a sharp drop for a majority of its length, as you can see from our application. The most important reason i would like to keep this fence is because i am about to give birth to our first child (due july 30). I am very worried that if my daughter is outside in our backyard, she will fall off the retaining wall and break a bone or suffer some other injury on the public sidewalk. Even worse, after falling onto the public sidewalk, she could continue to roll into the busy street where she would be hit by one of the many vehicles that speed down the hill. I am also concerned about my dog or any person wh Date: June 7, 2014 Contractor: David Ogilvie Permit type: Fixture; fence (exception over 42") | Permit status: Cancel/withdrawn | Expiration date: September 15, 2014 | |||||
