There is currently an elm tree approximately ten feet south of the main driveway for bass circle apartments, which is currently under renovation. The trunk is approximately three feet wide. The owners of the complex and the design professionals associated with the project are concerned that this three is creating a significant challenge for vehicles exiting the driveway. This area of benning road does not have a parking lane, thus limiting vehicles ability to pull forward beyond the visual barrier of the trunk and see all traffic coming from the south. Additionally, the tree is close to the driveway entrance and is in conflict with utility lines above. We request that this tree be removed from the public space and another planted in an alternate location that does not effect traffic or above utility lines.
