Removal of fire ladder--the building has a simple straight fire ladder (no landings) affixed to the front of the building. We want to remove it because criminals are climbing up it to tag the roof, drink, and shoot heroin, all of which we have found evidence of. Weve found cigarette butts on the tar roof. Criminals can access a common balcony, and from there the front stairwell of the building and the bedroom windows which overlook the balcony. Additionally, there are bedroom windows adjacent to the other side of the ladder; and a 3rd floor private balcony. Each unit has a front and a back door which leads to exits in the front of the building and the back of the building. We feel that our tenants are seriously endangered by the existence of this ladder. We have found multiple needles, a crack pipe, clothes, stolen credit cards, alcohol containers, human waste, and a knife on the grounds of our building.
