Weve spoken with tim maher at op and demonstrated that the lift is the only way to provide accessibility to our restaurant and it is not possible to build the lift anywhere but on public space. Furthermore, the location we have selected for the lift is the only place we can build it without having to erect a significant foundation wall in public space to support the nearly six foot tall mast that the lift requires to operate. The position we selected utilizes the current building for support. Last week we were granted our sidewalk cafe and matthew marcou said that he would approve our lift once the cafe permit is issued. We are opening in april and he said we would not need to go through a hearing.
