Remove existing retractable patio awning. Replace with a new 25 x 17 roof over the existing concrete patio. The roof will be constructed with a single slope shed roof bearing on a beam with four support columns. (beam to be engineered by lumber supplier - paper work can be supplied at framing inspection.) the ledger at the house will be lagged into the second floor rim board. Underneath will house can lights (6) and ceiling fans (2). Inspections required: footing, framing, electrical & final. The roof structure is well inside the outer walls of the house - no where near property setbacks.
