I have placed a stop work order at this address. I was there to inspect a gas pipe installation for psnc. They had a permit activated and it was on site. I placed the stop work order because there was a significant amount of work taking place upstairs and in the basement with no permits activated for any of this work. There is new framing, electrical, mechanical, and insulation (spray foam) that has been installed. The owner needs to come to the city of asheville and present their entire scope of work for both levels and get permits activated for all trades for which work has taken place. They also need to clarify the use of the newly finished room in the basement and confirm per a drawing that it will not be used as a bedroom as there is no egress directly to the outside.
