Seeking permit to add a 2nd story, remodel the existing main floor, and make minor modifications to our current basement. No changes to existing home footprint -- foundation remains the same. Existing rooflines used as design guide for expansion into the 2nd story. Total height of home not changing more than 1 in total. Main floor to become more open (expanded kitchen and living space), 3 bedrooms, 1 office/bedroom, and 2 bathrooms to be added upstairs (currently just an empty attic). Orientation of existing stairs to basement to be swapped (currently north to south, will become south to north), and one non-weight-bearing wall to be removed from existing finished basement. Desire to keep the same look/feel of exterior finishes and character.
