The "summer soulstice" will take place in blackstone square on washington st. Between w. Brookline and w. Newton streets in the south end. The event will start at 4pm and end at 9pm with set up to start 2 hours before and clean-up to finish no later than 10pm. We are requesting to close down w. Brookline between washington and shawmut to accommodate 6 food trucks and two portable toilets. Inside blackstone square we will have 5-6 live music and performance acts on a rented stage and some tables and chairs for attendees and organizations to use. Pine street inn will handle maintenance and clean-up during and after the event. There is no charge for attendees of the event but food trucks will sell their food. We are working together with friends of blackstone/franklin squares neighborhood association have reached out to neighbors for letters of support. We expect about 500-6 people from the neighborhood and from around the city.
