This is needed so that power can be safely shut off if any service work is needed. 2. A c unit must have a means of disconnect within sight of equipment. This would be required on roof next to unit. 3. All wiring must be run in approved conduit. Exposed romex shall not be used between the wall and the a c unit. 4. Electrician needs to verify that breakers in panels are sized correctly. 5. A service receptacle must be installed for service work.
