Existing steel deck roof has at present a ballasted rock epdm/rubber roof with 3 inches of eps (r-14) insulation beneath it. The existing epdm/rubber roof is going to have the rock ballast set aside section by section while existing epdm/rubber roof is sliced up/some removed and new 2 inch thick polyisocyanurate (iso r-14)insulation is installed atop existing rps for a total of r-28 /-. A new layer of epdm/rubber will be laid upon new insulation and presexisting rock ballast to be put back in place. Standard flashing details around penetrations. No formal stripping of existing roof/very minor removal of debris from location. Basically upping the "r" value while replacing the layer of epdm roof material.
