We are writing to request a permit to hold a labor rally outside of the verizon office building located at 6 bowdoin square boston (building face is on cambridge street). To minimize public disruption and traffic alteration we are requesting the use of bulfinch place for the rally. The event is being planned for thursday july 2015. The event will begin at 5: p. M. And end by 8: p. M. This rally is being produced by local 2222 of the international brotherhood of electrical workers (telephone &; communication workers) in anticipation of the expiration of its collective bargaining agreement with verizon on august 1st. Many labor leaders elected officials and others will be participating in the program. Attendees to the event will be gathering after work beginning at 3: p. M. Sound and stage setup will begin at the same time. For this reason we are requesting street closure (bulfinch place between new chardon &; sudbury street) at 3: p. M. ? Change layout of 2 existing office at 2nd floor make-a-wish tenant space. Work includes removing 1 wall and constructing 2 new walls. New wiring and lighting and add diffuser to existing hvac system. Relocate 1 to 2 sprinkler heads. No fa work required. Paint and patch existing flooring.
