Ecs will abandon six monitoring wells located within the property. The monitoring wells will be abandoned by making an attempted to remove the 2-inch pvc from the ground. If the pvc cannot be removed, a tool will be inserted into the well to rip the pvc to ensure that the well casing and screen are filled with the grout material. After the pvc has either been removed or ripped, powdered bentonite slurry with a 60: mix ratio will then be placed using a tremie pipe from the bottom of the well/boring to the surface. The to ratio will consist of the following material 1 pounds bentonite powder to 94 pounds cement with 82 gallons of water. Any waste material generated pvc, well cover, etc will be disposed of appropriately.
