Drill 13 direct push borings to advance laser induced fluorescent tooling for lnapl detections to max depth of 25 feet and max diameter of three inches. Like typical direct-push drilling methods, the uvost is subject to refusal in borings if rock, large gravel or boulders, or dense soils are encountered. The uvost survey will allow for collection of a large volume of data, which will be used generate two- and three-dimensional site area maps of the contamination for plume delineation. The maps and imaging will then be used to focus remedial efforts -if necessary- in a more efficient manner. Apex will abandon the borings within 24 hours by using a positive displacement pump and tremie pipe to fill the borings with a bentonite slurry mix -2lbs of bentonite to 1 gallon of water- to the surface. The surface will be patched to match the surrounding conditions, as per site plan, work plan report, ddoe construction and schematic forms. All work will be conducted under ddoe regulations.
